Beijing Hong Kun International Hotel

Beijing Hongkun International is tucked away in the southwest corner of Beijing, one of my favorite neighborhoods.

The hotel is huge, and with its shiny windows you can see it from quite a distance away.  When one of my friends came into town for a conference, I visited him there.

The rooms were pretty nice and very clean. Sometimes the housekeeping didn’t clean every corner of the place everyday though.

But the staff was nice and my friend said that whenever he asked for anything they brought it right away.

Also, there are many good restaurants nearby, including some western favorites like McDonald’s and KFC.

Just strolling around the neighborhood is worth it, because even though it is quite far from most tourist sights, there is a lot of real Chinese culture to be seen.
